USE is a large, California-based Credit Union. In fact, they have a location right on UCSD’s campus! Their student checking account offers no monthly fees with a minimum deposit of $25 and a minimum balance at any time of $0, though a one-time $5 membership fee is assessed. USE offers overdraft protection up to $20, interest on savings accounts at 0.05%, and Zelle™. Across the country, 30,000 ATMS will be available for your USE (sorry for the pun) in the Co-op ATM network.

University Credit Union
UCU is a small, college-focused Credit Union. Their San Diego location is right here on UCSD’s campus, in the Price center. Their University checking account offers no monthly fees with a minimum deposit of $50 and a minimum balance at any time of $0. There is no fee for overdrafts and (with 25 transactions a month) members receive 1% dividends per year on their checking accounts. Their savings account provides interest at 0.15%. Across the country, 30,000 ATMS will be available for your use within the Co-op ATM network. They also reimburse up to $25 from the use of out-of-network ATMs.
